Can You Move Your Body?
Posted 2017-10-31 by Bambi Christman in Training

How well can you move your own body weight around? More important than how accomplished you are in a bench press machine or a lat pull-down machine or a rowing machine, is HOW WELL CAN YOU MOVE YOUR OWN BODY WEIGHT. If you can't perform a minimum of 20 strict military pushups (men and women alike), then stop worrying about numbers on a machine. If you can't smoothly perform a non-weighted Turkish Getup, then get off the machines and let's start working on getting strong enough to MOVE your OWN body weight. I will evaluate your strength and skill set and work with you with progressive movements that will enable you to perform functional, body weight movements that will increase your overall strength and mobility. THEN we can add in TRX and kettlebell training for even MORE progress and fun. Did I mention that all of this hard work will BURN LOTS OF CALORIES?  Ready to sculpt and strengthen your body? I felt guilty about how overweight I had become, and how out of shape I was. Bambi got my mind straight about the "journey" I was on. I'm a work in progress, and every week I learn something new from her about nutrition and living a life of fitness. My progress has been steady(!) and I'm motivated to stay in this for the long haul. To say I "love" my trainer is an understatement.
