Last day of June .... another month has slid by so quickly! I always try and stay upbeat in my posts, but some very sad events have occurred in my life in the past 2 months. In May, I lost a dear, dear friend to heart disease. The cause? Bad nutrition. Although my friend was very active, his choices in food led to damage to his arteries and to his heart. If you are not ACTIVELY thinking about, and monitoring, the foods you eat every day ... you may be heading down this same road. Please take a few minutes to analyze your eating habits ... and if they are not what they should be ... CHANGE THEM TODAY! If you need help understanding, and planning, what foods to eat to maintain your health and keep disease from taking over your body, please reach out to me. If you are carrying extra pounds on your body, please realize that this is an "outward" indication of an internal health issue: your organs are under stress, your joints are under stress, and your mental health may also be affected. Did you know poor nutrition has been linked to Alzheimers? I have helped dozens of clients improve their health, fitness, and quality of life through nutrition and strength and fitness training. It can be done. It IS important. It IS your life! :-)
I felt guilty about how overweight I had become, and how out of shape I was. Bambi got my mind straight about the "journey" I was on. I'm a work in progress, and every week I learn something new from her about nutrition and living a life of fitness. My progress has been steady(!) and I'm motivated to stay in this for the long haul. To say I "love" my trainer is an understatement.
