I enjoyed a 3.5 mile trail run around Hopewell Lake this morning. Yes, the temperature was a bit hot, even early in the a.m., but that was NOT going to be an excuse for me to skip out on my morning workout. Once I got started, I was so glad I pushed myself to get out of bed and drive up to the lake. The 3.5 mile trail was gorgeous, I pushed my pace, and I was rewarded at the end with the satisfaction of a job well done. On the drive home, I was ravenous ..... dozens of food options were whirling about in my head .... decisions, decisions. So here is where having the RIGHT FOOD in the house is important. What were the choices in my fridge? Spinach frittata, Chinese spiced chicken breast, raw spinach, carrots, asparagus, blueberries, strawberries, and cherries. I couldn't go wrong! I sat down to a delicious, nutritious, SATISFYING brunch accompanied by 2 bottles of water. Now ..... how did YOU start your day? I've learned SO MUCH about my body and how it works! Bambi takes the time to analyze me as I'm training, picking up on dysfunctional movement, no matter HOW SLIGHT it may be. Her corrections to my form in our drills has resolved a lower back pain I suffered with for years and strengthened me in ways I never thought were possible!
